Given the cold air and northwest winds I was expecting a great day but the birding was fair at best. I ended up with 14 species of warbler, the most common of which were Tennessee, Blackpoll, Palm, Magnolia, and American Redstart. Thrushes, flycatchers, and sparrows were scarce. Here&#8217;s my partial list:<\/p>\n<p>Black-bellied Plover &#8211; 2<br \/>\nSemipalmated Plover &#8211; 1<br \/>\nBaird&#8217;s Sandpiper &#8211; 1<br \/>\nSanderling &#8211; ~50<br \/>\nBlack Tern &#8211; 1, the juvenile from yesterday. Seen early in the morning only.<br \/>\nLeast Flycatcher &#8211; 1<br \/>\nRed-eyed Vireo &#8211; 2<br \/>\nPhiladelphia Vireo &#8211; 1<br \/>\nWarbling Vireo &#8211; 1, singing<br \/>\nTree Swallow &#8211; 2<br \/>\nBarn Swallow &#8211; ~6<br \/>\nPurple Martin &#8211; 2<br \/>\nCliff Swallow &#8211; ~20<br \/>\nRed-breasted Nuthatch &#8211; 1, FOS<br \/>\nSwainson&#8217;s Thrush &#8211; 3<br \/>\nTennessee Warbler &#8211; ~10<br \/>\nNashville Warbler &#8211; ~5<br \/>\nCape May Warbler &#8211; 1<br \/>\nMagnolia Warbler &#8211; ~12<br \/>\nYellow-rumped Warbler &#8211; 1<br \/>\nBlack-and-white Warbler &#8211; 2<br \/>\nBlack-throated Green Warbler &#8211; 2<br \/>\nBlackpoll Warbler &#8211; ~8<br \/>\nPalm Warbler &#8211; ~12<br \/>\nConnecticut Warbler &#8211; 1<br \/>\nWilson&#8217;s Warbler &#8211; ~5<br \/>\nNorthern Waterthrush &#8211; 2<br \/>\nCommon Yellowthroat &#8211; ~4<br \/>\nAmerican Redstart &#8211; ~12<br \/>\nSavannah Sparrow &#8211; ~6<br \/>\nWhite-throated Sparrow &#8211; 2<br \/>\nBobolink &#8211; 1<\/p>\n<p>All of the swallows were seen together.
