White-rumped Sandpiper Baird's Sandpiper

On the White-rumped Sandpiper note the:

  • White rump (not always visible)
  • Slightly drooped tip of the bill
  • Pale base to the lower mandible
  • Streaked flanks

On the Baird's Sandpiper note the:

  • Lack of rufous in the upperparts
  • Straight all black bill
  • Unstreaked flanks
