This Web site was hand-coded using Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML, Version 1.0 Strict), which is just Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) written with the same syntax rules as Extensible Markup Language (XML). Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are used for text formatting and page layout. A Web browser scripting language called JavaScript* is used for navigation, image copyright protection, and status bar messages. Dynamic Hypertext Markup Language (DHTML), not a formal computer language but a combination of Cascading Style Sheets and JavaScript, is used for special effects. Finally, a server-side scripting language called PHP is used to process input from my guestbook.
